Abstract:
The proposed project is focused on development of new mathematical models of constitutive behavior of shape memory alloys. These models will be based on results of experimental observations, and will reflect the mutual couplings between individual microstructural processes in these materials. Not only that the development of such models will contribute to better understanding of the thermomechanical behavior of shape memory alloy, the models will be also numerically implemented to become available for engineering applications. The models will be verified by simulations of behaviors of real biomechanical applications of shape memory alloys.
