ÚTIA offers one-year internships for talented high school students within the framework of the Open Science programme of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The offer for 2024 includes a total of 8 internships, 3 in the field of mathematics and 5 in the field of IT. This ratio reflects quite well the main specializations of the institute. The Institute has established a whistleblowing system in accordance with the Institute's internal regulation
"On Whistleblower Protection" (currently available only in Czech), which allows whistleblowers to report violations of EU and/or Czech legal regualtions or public interests or unethical or unlawful conduct, including acts of sexual coercion and violence.

Institutes of Information Theory and Automation in cooperation with Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague organizes STAT of ML (Statistics of Machine Learning) conference to be held from October 5 to October 6, 2023 in Prague, Czech Republic. The main theme of the conference is rigorous statical treatment of machine learning applied in the field of digital finance.
