Prof. Ing. Vladimir Kucera, DrSc., dr. h. c. is an Emeritus Scientist of the Czech Academy of Sciences and served as the Director of the UTIA from 1990-1998. He has been a longtime excelent researcher at the Department of Control Theory, his scientific activities in UTIA range over 50 years. Prof. Ing. Vladimir Kucera, DrSc., Dr. h. c. is the Czech Academy of Sciences Emeritus Staffer and the emeritus member of the Department of Control Theory of our Institute. Milan Anderle was awarded the Best Paper Award 2021 for the outstanding full paper contribution (co-authors Prof. Sergej Čelikovský and Prof. Tomáš Vyhlídal) (Process Control ´21) by Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Institute of Information Engineering, Automation, and Mathematics. The award is granted in association with Optimal Control Labs.
Sergej Čelikovský was born 21 of January, 1961. He received his MSc. degree in Applied Mathematics from Optimal Control Department, Moscow State University in 1984 and his Ph.D. degree in Technical Cybernetics from the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in 1988. He was visiting researcher at University of Twente, Enschede 1996, Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, at Chinese University of Hong Kong 1998 and at CINVESTAV del I.P.N., Mexico 1998-2000. He has been Associate Member of the Centre for Chaos and Complex Networks, City University of Hong Kong since 2003.
